Okay, so I got Greasemonkey like a year ago, played around with it, added my one or two little scripts that sounded cool, and never looked or touched it again, aka, probably (and I’m assuming) the typical Greasemonkey-er.

Okay, so I got Greasemonkey like a year ago, played around with it, added my one or two little scripts that sounded cool, and never looked or touched it again, aka, probably (and I’m assuming) the typical Greasemonkey-er.
Now I’m someone that’s online several hours a day, every day. I work a lot and I pretend to work a lot, both of these tasks involving lots of computer time. So today, instead of doing my usual rounds on the internet consisting of browsing Digg or wondering if anyone responded to my latest status on Facebook, I had the sudden urge to for no reason investigate the little monkey-face at the bottom right of my browser screen, remembering that I had some weird add-on called “Greasemonkey” and what I found was nothing short of an epic win….
First off if you don’t yet know what Greasemonkey is, head here to learn all about it, then when you find out that there are 40,000 existing scripts, you’ll realize it’s a lot like the iPhone in its sheer infinite awesomeness potential and you’ll want to head here to get it.
So anyway, long boring story transformed into short boring story manner, I decided that everyday I’d pick a website I frequent most often, and look for any cool scripts that exist for it. And today, the first day of this endeavor, was YouTube day….
Awesome YouTube Script #1: Loopy For YouTube
Ever been listening to a great song in the background and wanted to not have to find it in a mess of a million tabs and windows and to just have it replay on its own forever and ever? You have? Awesome me too let’s be friends.
Solution: Loopy For YouTube (script link)

You can now enjoy your favorite YouTube videos without having to move your wrist and press a button… amazing!
Awesome YouTube Script #2: YouTube Lyrics
Speaking of listening to songs there have definitely been times when I wanted to look up lyrics to the song I’m listening to. Regardless of how often it happens sometimes it’s a hassle opening up a new window/tab to look it up (I’m ridiculously spoiled.. I know this… I’m working on it). So…
Solution: YouTube Lyrics
BONUS: You can even select from 12 different lyrics websites if you don’t like one for whatever reason. Tell me today’s not a good day… Today was totally a good day…
Awesome YouTube Script #3: MP4 Instant Video Download Link
I know what you’re thinking, there’s dozens of websites from which you can download any flash video you want – but that’s like a whole other tab/window opening step, and I already told you how I feel about such a thing. So, if you want to be able to download any YouTube video in MP4 format right from the video page, and if you’ve just got to own the breaking news video of President Obama swatting flies… like a boss… then this is the script for you.
Solution: Download YouTube Videos as MP4
Did I mention he did it…. like a boss? MAN I love that video =] gets me every time… but moving on.
Although this one is a great close second, as it allows you more options (letting you choose which format and which quality you want to save with), it adds another step to the process by taking you to another website and stopping the video. That’s a no-no.
Also, I’ma let you finish reading this article but (spoiler alert) the last script is the best script of all time… the best of all time!
Awesome YouTube Script #4: YouTube “Lights Out”
Okay, I’m not going to pretend this is some amazing super sauce script, but it can definitely come in handy. Just as the name suggests, the script ads a little “lights out” button with two settings – dark or fully black. The button adds a tint that fills up the entire page around the video that makes the video a bit nicer to view (depending on the content). It’s 11:30 PM and I’m all out of cutesy shit for this one. Therefore… >:[ <-- serious face without funny-ish commentary
Solution: YouTube "Lights Out"

Screenshot Part 2: Dark Setting
Screenshot Part 3: Black Setting
EPIC YouTube Script #5: Apocalypse
No it's not really called Apocalypse, but it should be. In true list fashion I saved the best for last. After having installed over a dozen different YouTube scripts, I came across this one... the end all be all of YouTube scripts.
Solution: YouTube HD Ultimate
I'm not going to post screenshots because this script does virtually everything the above scripts do (literally)... and then about 9,000 other things. Just click the above link and check out the features section. Some notable ones: removes in-video and out-of-video ads on YouTube.. ensures you're viewing all your videos in highest quality possible.. fitToWindow viewing.... And all these options you can toggle on and off.
The only reason I even included some of the above scripts which would be made redundant by this one is because not everyone wants to deal with a script that has 4984792834 features. Scripts are made to complement things simply, and unless you're really into the whole perfecting your online experience thing, you'll probably be content with the solo scripts, but if you are into the whole perfecting your online experience thing, this is your ultimate YouTube.com script.
The End
Well that's it.. that's the end of our journey... I'm going to miss talking to you guys. The post looks kind of empty now so I'll leave you with a picture that always makes us here at TS smile. =)
Obama throws snowball.. like a boss.
Edit: Bonus honorary YouTube Greasemonkey script mention: YouTube PreWatch
